What a dataset from us looks like

Not a brochure. Below is the actual shape of the records — the fields, one real file, and exactly which columns are masked and why.

Fields

What a buyer list contains

Each row is one shipment. Grouped by company, that becomes a buyer profile.

FieldWhat it tells you
ConsigneeThe importing company — your prospect
ShipperWho supplies them today
Product descriptionAs filed, including models and specifications where published
HS codeClassification as declared
Quantity and weightHow much, in what unit
Declared valuePurchase value — size of the account
Port of unladingWhere it entered the country
Arrival dateWhen — recency matters more than volume

One real file

Four rows, unedited

Pulled from a US bill-of-lading file — four different importers, three origins. Company names, quantities and values are unedited, so you can check any row against a source you already have.

Sampling method, stated up front: the full file was sorted by arrival date, split into equal segments, and one distinct importer taken per segment — so the dates are spread evenly rather than cherry-picked.

Masking

What is masked, and why

On the preview above, nothing is masked — it is a public customs filing. What we withhold is the layer we licence: the contact details of the people behind these companies. That is the part that comes through LinkedIn Sales Navigator under an official partnership, and it is what turns a company list into something you can act on.

We do not supply private mobile numbers or personal email addresses. Requests to be removed are honoured.

Two ways to search

Same product, two methods, different results

The product code is filled in by the importer, not a central authority, so the same goods appear under different codes — and on bill-of-lading records often under none at all. Searching one code misses shipments that are genuinely there. That is visible in the table above: the four rows carry two different HS codes for the same product.

We search by code and by description and merge the results, rather than trusting one. If a provider tells you a single code search is complete, they have not looked at the source. HS 854140 works through a real example.

Ask about your market

Tell us the product and the market. We will reply with what the records actually contain for it — which markets have shipment detail, which have statistics only, and what a working list would look like. No charge, and no obligation.

· We reply within one business day, Monday to Friday (GMT+8).· One short call: what you are trying to solve, and whether we can solve it.· If we cannot help, we will say so on that call.· How your details are handled: see the privacy policy.
